I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
